Exeter meets Berlin

For 40 years the Exeter Choir Voices in Common from the South West of England have been reviving old songs from their locality and reintroducing them into the world of folk music.

In 2013 a singer from Voices-in-Common moved to Berlin where he discovered us, the CELTIC CHOIR!!! Since then a close relationship has developed between our two choirs. Last year our choir leader Lizzy Ahrens-Assem and choir visited their choir in Exeter and gave a concert together in St Davis Church.

This year the Exeter choir leader Paul Wilson and choir members are reciprocating the visit.

Voices in Common open our joint concert with an insight into their repertoire.

Following that the CELTIC CHOIR will sing a selection of their most beautiful songs from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, some in english and welsh.

After the break both choirs will join together to sing songs that we learnt from each other.

The audience is as always heartily invited to sing along with us!
